Body Design Hires Three New Experts


LEAH RAKEMAN
Leah Rakeman is a Pilates Instructor here at Body Design. She graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas with a BA in Communications. She has been teaching Pilates for over two years and is certified through Body Arts and Science International. Prior to her work as a Pilates Instructor, Leah danced professionally for Holland America Cruise Line and traveled the world while entertaining passengers in the nightly “Off Broadway” review show. Leah continues to dance and perfect her Pilates technique. She believes that motivation, confidence and knowledge are the key factors that make up an amazing work out!

JOY DUGAN
Joy Dugan teaches Pilates, weight training and the butt/gut/thighs reformer class. After graduating with a BA in Exercise and Sports Science and a BA in Psychology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Joy has gone on to earn several certifications to further her career, including: Pilates certification, NSCA strength and conditioning specialist, AFAA certified personal trainer, Yoga Fit Level I Instructor and certified Pilates for Golf Coach. With her focus on training clients since 2002, Joy helps clients invest in their health and well-being by creating consistent workouts. Her goal is to help find movements and activities that encourage consistency and enjoyment.

SHOSHANNA CAIRNS
Shoshanna Cairns, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and a Tae Bo® Certified Fitness Instructor, teaches Tae Bo® Kickbox at Body Design. In addition to being a dedicated Tae Bo® follower since 1999, Shoshanna has been weight lifting for about 10 years and has been a part-time personal trainer. “Gotta give some to get some,” is Shoshanna’s workout philosophy. If you want to achieve your goals either in health and fitness or life in general, it takes work to produce the results that you want. “Clothed with Strength and Dignity,” also encapsulates her work out philosophy. Strong will and spirit produces results.
